Модуль 1. Cultural corner. Pow-wow. The Gathering of Nations.

Цель: развитие умений монологической речи.

Задачи:

Развивающая: развивать умения прогнозировать содержание текста; развивать умения поискового чтения.

Образовательная: активировать и совершенствовать словарный запас учащихся по теме «Праздники»; строить свои собственные высказывания по плану.

Воспитательная: воспитывать и прививать уважительное отношение к культуре другой страны.

Практическая: формирование навыков чтения и аудирования.

Оборудование: учебник, рабочая тетрадь

Ход урока:

I Начало урока

Организационный момент. Приветствие. Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you .How are you? Now, it’s time to start.

Фонетическая зарядка. Звук [b] A Bear brings a basket of berries to bears.

Речевая разминка: What is the weather like today? Is the sun shining ? Is it cold today? What weather do you like?

Проверка домашнего задания: стр. 20 упр 1. Несколько учащихся зачитывают рассказ о праздниках в нашей стране.

II Основная часть

Постановка цели и задач. Today we will talk about unusual celebrations in America. Do you like celebrations? What is your favorite holiday?

Работа с учебником . First, lets look at the words in the end of the book. Open Word List 3, Unit Culture corner 1. Учитель читает слова, учащиеся повторяют за ним.

Страница 21 упр.1 Look at the pictures and listen to the music. Учащиеся рассматривают иллюстрации в учебнике. (Примерный вариант ответа: I think the text is about Indians, about their celebrations) What do you think Pow-wow is? ( To my mind Pow-wow is unusual holiday) Lets read the text to find out. But first we ‘ll listen the text. Прослушивание текста. Затем учащиеся рассказывают что они поняли из текста и читают по абзацам, переводят.

Физкультминутка

Произнося фразу 'This is the way we do it', дети делают вид, что играют на соответствующем музыкальном инструменте.
