| Organizational moment Greetings. Good afternoon, girls! Sit down, please! How are you today? First of all I want you to go to the blackboard and make a circle. We start our lesson with a training task “I wish”. You may say in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English I will start, Polina, мен саған котерінкі көңіл тілеймін and I wish you good marks at the lesson. Dividing into groups. Today you will work in groups and Group 1 – Group 2 - Let’s begin our work with revising the rules to work in groups. Lead-in: Look at the pictures and try to answer the question what can you see on these pictures? Who are the main characters of these stories? How do you think what is the theme of our lesson? The topic of our lesson is “Benefits of reading”, open your copybooks, write down the date. What date is it today? The objectives, assessment criteria of the lesson Epigraph of the lesson. At today’s lesson the epigraph is the words of our first President N. Nazarbayev Liza, can you read the statement? And now we have to do a task with this statement. | Vocabulary (eBook) And now we are ready to start to revise all the read stories from the unit 5 and define some benefits of reading. We will compare two famous stories Romeo and Juliet and Kyz-Zhybek. We will start our work with vocabulary task. You should work with the vocabulary, do the domino task and read in turns in your group, You should assess the pronunciation of another group according to the criteria. Assessment criteria: pronounce the new words correctly, define the right translation Formative assessment: Vocabulary (DOMINO) Assessment criteria: pronounce the words correctly, define the right translation and meaning Formative assessment of pronunciation Not very good – group has more than 6 mistakes Good – group has 4-5 mistakes Very good – group has 2-3 mistakes Excellent – group has 0-1 mistakes Reading task/ project Look at the pictures. There are some pictures from the stories. You should read the summary of these stories again and put the events in order they happened. Every picture has the description.
