2.East Anglia.
3.The Midlands.
4.The Southeast.
5.The Southwest.
I’d like to learn more about them.
The North of England
The North of England is a cultural region of England. The North part of England is bordered by Scotland. It has a population of around 14,5 million. It is covering an area of 37,331 km2. The North of England has some of the wildest and loneliest parts in the country. You can find deep valleys, rivers and waterfalls, hills and mountains. The main attractions of the North of England are certainly the Lake District, the cities of York and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
East Anglia
East Anglia is the region located in the East of England. Suffolk, Norfolk , and Cambridge shire are included in East Anglia. The City of Peterborough is also included even though it serves as unitary authority. The term East Anglia is taken from East Angles. East Anglia is the home for the prominent University of Cambridge. Other educational institutions in East Anglia are Norwich University of the Arts, University of East Anglia and University Campus Suffolk.
The Midlands
The Midlands is an area of central England that borders the South East , South West , North West ,East of England and Yorkshire and the Humber. Its largest city is Birmingham. The Midlands are mostly split between the East Midlands and West Midlands. The largest Midlands conurbation, which includes the cities of Birmingham and Wolverhampton , is roughly covered by the metropolitan county of the West Midlands with the related City Region extending into neighbouring areas of Shropshire , Staffordshire , Warwickshire and Worcestershire . The Midlands has a temperate maritime climate , with cold, cloudy, wet winters and comfortable, mostly dry, mostly sunny summers. The temperature usually ranges from −0.4 °C (31.3 °F) during winter nights to 24.1 °C (75.4 °F) during summer days.
The Southeast
The southeast of England is well known for its flat plains, where lots of farms are situated. Valleys and meadows of England always attract a lot of tourists. Green hedges in England are separating fields. I admire people who travel discovering new lands and exploring them. Famous resort towns of England are situated in the southeast.
The Southwest
The Southwest is generally a region of wide open, sparsely populated spaces, a lot of which is desert, with a few densely populated cities. The geography of the Southwest includes deserts, mountains, plateaus, mesas, broad basins, and plains. Some of the common types of plants found in the Southwest Region of the US include yucca plants, sagebrush, barrel cactus, and saguaro cactus. This region is inhabited by many different types of animals; most of which have adapted to survival in the hot dry climate that dominates the region. Examples of some of these animals include the rattlesnake, coyote, bobcat, jackrabbit, gray wolf, prairie dog, American bison.
